Corporation For Independent Living

CIL is a developer – not a service provider. However, CIL was created by service providers to meet their housing development needs. We work with nonprofit service providers to create quality, affordable, accessible housing that meets the specific needs of residents and the financial needs of the providers. CIL acquires existing homes and building lots, giving service providers full control over all siting decisions. We work with providers to design plans that address space requirements, accessibility requirements, specialized bathing needs, fire code issues, licensing requirements, and other issues. CIL’s experienced staff addresses all financing and construction issues, allowing service providers to focus on service delivery.
